Ligent Technologies, Inc. showcased innovations at OFC 2025

At the Optical Fiber Communication Exhibition (OFC) from April 1 to April 3, 2025, U.S. time, Ligent Technologies showcased a series of groundbreaking technology demonstrations, highlighting the latest advancements in high-speed optical communications.

Highlights of Main Booth 4321:

·1.6T OSFP 2xDR4 silicon optical and EML full/half repetition timing solution: Demonstrates the superior performance and energy efficiency provided for the next generation of AI clusters.

·1.6T 2xVR4 VCSEL and 3.2T transceiver single-channel 400G forward-looking technology: Through the technological advancement of 200G VCSEL and 400G TFLN modulator, it lays the foundation for future large-capacity, ultra-high-efficiency data centers.

·800G QSFP-DD ZR & LR4: Real-time demonstration of long-range, large-capacity optical connectivity solutions that support the demanding metro/data center interconnection requirements.

·400/800G full-repetition timing, LPO and half-repetition LRO/TRO interoperability: the following products are highlighted: 800G 2xFR4/2xDR4 LPO based on silicon optical technology, 800G 2xFR4 semi-repetition timing LRO or TRO based on EML, and 800G 2xFR4/2xDR4 full-repetition timing module based on EML that supports I3C protocol.

Booth 5745 Interoperability Demo:

In addition to the above presentations, the company participated in the Optical Internet Forum (OIF) interactivity demonstration:

· CEI-448G, 224G, and 112G: 224Gbps and 112Gbps General Electrical Interface (CEI) multi-vendor demonstrations across a wide range of applications, including real-time 448Gbps demonstrations for AI network expansion. Key products include: OSFP 1.6T 2xDR4 silicon optical semi-repetition timing LRO or TRO module, OSFP 1.6T 2xDR4 silicon optical full-retime timing module.

·800ZR, 400ZR and multi-span optical interconnection: Showcasing the progress of interoperability of pluggable coherent optical modules, covering 800ZR and 400ZR applications, as well as multi-span connectivity solutions such as OpenZR, 100ZR and 800G OpenROADM (PCS). Key products include 800G QSFP-DD ZR modules.

·CMIS: Demonstrates the interoperability of physical layer management across heterogeneous network devices and pluggable modules, highlighting the CMIS industry-standard management interface. Key products include 800G 2xSR4/2xDR4/2xFR4 LPO modules.

Research Presentation:  

Dr. Zhou Jianying, General Manager of the Company's Technology Research Department, and his team delivered an academic report titled "Performance Limitations and Optimization of Linear Drive Optical Devices of 200G/Channel and Above" at 10:30 AM on March 31 (San Francisco time) in Rooms 213-214. The research proposed innovative solutions to the optimization challenges of 1.6T LPO optical modules, laying a technical foundation for future AI and cloud computing applications.
